For small purchases we typically send by courier or registerd mail.  However plywood kit and mold items exceed postal sizes.  Unless someone is lucky enough to live nearby and pick up the parts, the items are placed in a wooden crate that about 2300mm long and 600mm wide and 300mm high.

The planks, mold components and the corresponding length of the box were designed to ensure that the box can be forklifted though the door of a shipping container.  The parts pack in flat layers.  The crate sides are made so that the top of the sides match the thickness of the contents.  When the top goes on, the package is particularly robust.

The mold is the heavy part and the complete crate with mold, plykit and other parts, can with a little over 150kg.  The crate is on skids for forklifting and can be skidded around by hand.

The crate is made of materials that pass phytosanitary standards for international shipping.

International freight arrangements are made on a CIF basis (Cost, Insurance and Freight).  This means that you need to arrange for customs clearance and internal transport.  The reasons for this are that making these clearance and internal movement arrangements remotely from Australia has proven to be very tedious, time consuming and even introduces exchange rate risks.  You may find it easiest to use a local customs broker rather than filling out the paper work yourself, but your ability to negotiate these local processes is far greater than ours when operating from a different country.

PRICING EXAMPLES FOR SHIPPING:  The following prices for international Mold + kit shipping are those that appear at the checkout.

Please allow AU$ 242 for making and packing the crate that consists of, at least, a mold and a ply kit.  This is the same for national or international freight.
